DIY Upcycle and Make Halloween Costume Workshop
If you are planning to dress up this year for Halloween, whether spooky, sparkly, or silly, why not make your own costume? By upcycling you will reduce your consumer footprint AND exercise your creativity. Halloween permits imagination to run a little wild, and store-bought costumes are expensive and wasteful. While you will effortlessly help the Earth, you will support a local business and local artists!
This workshop is facilitated by skilled artists at the Green Beacon Gallery in Greensburg, PA who specialize in helping others unlock their creativity and bring their ideas to life! Many supplies will be provided such as basic art supplies, found objects, various donated craft items, tools, fabric scraps, old clothing, and more. Bring something that you want to work with such as an old mask that you can transform to make scarier or more realistic, cheap poor quality store-bought costume items that you already have or picked up at the thrift store and you can amp them up with decorations and modifications to make them look more aged or more imaginative.
